The thought of being cooped up inside on a bright sunny day is torture. How can you sit in a sweltering office when there’s such gorgeous weather outside? The weekend can’t come soon enough, but once you’re out in the sun… what do you do? There’s just so many options but you can’t go wrong with a picnic.
Yes, picnics are great. You get food, you get nice weather, but what about entertainment? No worries there, we’ve got a home-made kit from Paddy Power Bingo that can make even the dullest family picnic into an afternoon of number calling fun! Here are a few locations you can check out that are perfect both for sun-drenched fun and a quick game of bingo.
Beach:
The beach is a great location if you’re looking to catch some rays and possibly go for a dunk in the sea. To play beach bingo, you’ll need a comfy towel or blanket to sit on, a plastic wallet for each player and a bingo card with the different items you can find on a beach. If you’re feeling creative, you can create your own beach bingo card and use the plastic wallet to collect the bingo items, e.g. a shell, pebble, sand, seaweed whatever you expect to find on the beach! Probably not a good idea to collect a seagull though so best keep the items small.
Park:
If you’re not feeling like digging sand out of your shorts for weeks later, maybe the park is more your speed. Ideally head to one with a playground, there you can play something called physical bingo. To play this game, you’ll just need yourself and a bingo card that includes park apparatus. Instead of crossing the items off your bingo card on sight, you have to go down the slide, use the seesaw and generally use whatever other items are on the card. The best part about bingo in the park, it’s free and a fun day out!
