Each year, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), meets for high-level negotiations. And each year, delegations from each member country debate the details and merits of a potentially world-changing agreement. Nobody knows what will happen, but one thing’s for sure: Young climate activists will be there en force.

logo_cop_enSince the Montreal UNFCCC talks in 2005 (where ItsGettingHotInHere was started!), youth delegates have shaken up the system both within the talks and outside the gates. This year, more than 500 youth from around the world will be attending the conference in Poznan, Poland from Dec. 1-12, lobbying their country delegations and standing in solidarity for a strong agreement and a just future.

Check Youthclimate.org for updates from the youth delegates to the Poland talks.
