It's Getting Hot In Here
ItsGettingHotInHere is a community project involving researchers and students disseminating natural sciences to stop global warming and to build a more just and sustainable future.
It covers scholarly natural sciences content from the disciplines of the life sciences, earth sciences, and the health sciences as a foundation to explain and tackle global warming and climate change.
The life sciences cover life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, genetics, and distribution. ItsGettingHotInHere provides information on basic life sciences (botany, ecology, zoology), applied and interdisciplinary life sciences (biochemistry, biomedicine, biotechnology), and on related areas. It focuses on research literature of agriculture including animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming and farming systems and agricultural economics. As such it relates such research to natural resources management and to the environmental sciences for providing solutions to global warming and climate change.
The earth sciences cover the physical characteristics of the earth including its surface features, and the distribution of life on earth. Integrating development studies, geology, human geography and oceanography, ItsGettingHotInHere is a unique repository for physical and human geography which impacts global warming and climate change.
ItsGettingHotInHere covers the effects of disease and medical treatment on the overall condition of organisms and how environmental changes impact the wellbeing of humans and other organisms.
