Further report on last night's action in Moscow:

Fascism was much more in force last night in Moscow, Idaho, as people gathered to demonstrate against another giant Hellberta-bound outsourced megaload. There was a good turnout, but there were more police and they were working very hard at keeping everyone on the sidewalks, aided and abetted by their new rule that if you cross the street three times while the megaload is coming through you will get arrested. Since a lot of the people who have been doing the crosswalk parades to slow the loads were people who can't afford to get arrested, this put a huge crimp in things, too. The load and convoy worked much harder at keeping going, too... driving too fast and too close. Moscow's newly-fascist police force is probably patting themselves on the fucking backs for 'keeping the peace', but all they did was rack the pressure cooker up a notch.

Resisters are still determined... more so than ever after seeing the premier of Tipping Point (which hasn't been officially released yet, but will be soon and I highly recommend it)... but weren't prepared to cope with the new set-up. I know people will be strategising. We'll just have to see what happens next time. Only being able to shout and wave our signs as they ground through town on their way to murder more people in Hellberta was like a half-come. They are having a smug morning; we are left frustrated and incomplete, more disenfranchised than ever. This will not work for them in the long run. Having Moscow police turn into company thugs like ISP has already done is not a good thing for the people. This state was corrupt enough already without adding more corporate corruption. Very depressing, but we will not let it stop us from looking for ways to resist this outrage to our highways and the world's atmosphere. We stand in solidarity with climate outrage resisters in DC and around the world.

Wild Idaho Rising Tide: Thanks for standing up to Keystone XL.

Looks like the new total arrested in D.C. today will end up around 836. (I was #51 on Day 1). While it's something to get arrested in front of the White House, it's a special kind of courage to sit down on the ground in the path of a semi. In a small town. And in the dark.
