This is nothing but propaganda! There is other sources of energy. “Clean energy” is NOT clean, have you ever heard of RARE EARTHS required to MAKE “clean energy”. This is just another way to pass cap and trade – which will further destitute this country! Get REAL!

I’ve been really impressed by the way organized outrage at the oil industry has been growing and growing since the spill. What started out as a few dispersed efforts to rally people at gas stations is quickly turning into a genuine movement. This is the sort of momentum we need to pass strong climate legislation – and such legislation is the only real way to end our dependence on fossil fuels. It’s time for leaders in the US to crack down on Big Oil, Big Coal, and all the other facets of the fossil-industrial complex. Let the anger of people around the world spill into the Bonn talks and generate meaningful progress toward a global climate treaty!

From what I have heard from friends overseas the past few days, they are NOT aware of any efforts by the U.S. public to respond to the oil spill. In addition, I have just finished reading an article from a British newspaper which seemed to be an attempt to downplay the effects of the oil spill, any alarm on the part of U.S. citizens, and inserted one of “Tiny Tony’s” meager attempts to suggest they will take responsibility for the spill. In other words, it was more of BP’s playing with the world press.

We need to push even harder to overcome this world view!
