I’d like to say that if it wasn’t for coal none of you would be able to post anything on the internet, you would be sitting in the dark trying to figure out why your lights won’t come on. I am soon to be a fourth generation coal miner, and proud of it. None of you have the knowledge of what it is to be a coal miner, support your family, risk your life everyday to provide unappreciative people with energy, then the trickle down effect of the economy passed down from coal mining, from construction jobs to the people that work at walmart that have jobs from the coal miners, machine shop workers, truckers that shop there. I would like one of you with these great ideas to go to work one day and wonder if you will get hurt, if you will see your kids again, and then tell me how you feel. It sickens me to think that people who know nothing have such an opinion, you may think you are knowledgable about the facts. But the fact is every coal miner kisses his wife and kids in the morning and doesn’t know if he will kiss them again. Does your job make you feel that way, as you sit on the internet and complain about coal mining. I would like everyone of you to go underground and watch you shiver with fear of the circumstances, the surroundings, the all present fact of an accident, then tell me you don’t appreciate the fact that you can flick a switch and have light. It sickens me the way you all take everything for granted then want to complain about the hard working men and women you will never know who provide you with so much. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for the lack of appreciation you have for the people that do so much for you. So turn of your computers, turn off your lights, don’t shop at any stores that use electricity, and be real to your movement and tell me how life is. No more grocery stores, movie theaters, no more red lights, no more tv, internet, no more furniture; b/c the plants can’t run. Then sit down and tell me how you won this great war against coal, or call me; oh you can’t because no cell phone b/c you can no longer charge it. I think everyone should think real hard before they speak.
