		<description><![CDATA[Above comment is incoherent... but to be continue with the topic, I think it can be assumed that the large majority of people are low information voters/citizens when it comes to climate/energy or virtually any other issue so this doesn&#039;t surprise me too much. If washington actually reflected public opinion these numbers might be more significant. Voters care about the economy first and foremost and unless we can get wrap their minds around the idea that the economic structure of the last hundred years is what led to such point of crisis then our efforts to pass meaningful legislation are in vain. How do we do that, I&#039;m not really sure yet. Traditional environmental pressure groups are irrelevant to senators and we don&#039;t have the critical mass for widespread direct action yet so...]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[So the swing comes in when the cost is put into personal numbers. I agree we need to educate the people - in basic economics. When Government forces and energy inefficiencies on us, the whole economy suffers and wealth is destroyed. Let the people know what the cost to them is and they will clearly be against it. 

Or you could just buy their vote and force them into poverty. But I wouldn&#039;t consider telling them that they get $180 from the government as education.]]></description>
