Ladies and Gentlemen,

RE: CORN PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL INC. - PLEASE TALK TO THIS COMPANY TO EMBRACE GREEN PROGRAMS TO SAVE THE WORLD.

As a friend of the environment and having identfied you as friends of the environment living many miles away, I wish to bring to your attention an issue that I believe need be stopped. Multinational Corporations (MNCs)make money from ther businesses. That is well and good. Over the years MNCs have moved to observe self regulation and quite a number have impressive Corporate Social Responsibility programs wherever they operate. There is one multinational whose activities in one African country stinks though. This is Corn Products International Inc. (www.cornproducts.com) whose subsidiary in Kenya is Corn Products Kenya Limited.

The company has a factory in Kenya in which they use wood fired boilers which consume approximately 100tons of wood per day. While they use these amounts of wood they do not plant any trees, nor do they demand that responsibility of their wood suppliers.

The factory generates liquid effluents which they happily take to the city's sewage treatment. Rather than treat their effluent to meet the specifications set by the local authority the company would rather destroy sewer lines and buy their time.

Corn Products International is behavig badly in Kenya. It has the financial ability to ensure that Kenya remains green but are behaving like gluttons and don't want to care about the worlds future generation. Could you please come to the rescue of these poor countries by demanding corporate resposibility from this company.

Thank you very much. Together we shall live the world as a better place.

Yours sincerely,

Dave Olare.
