Erm, it was capitalism that built the train networks and public transport, then the car came along. How does he think US railways were built?
In the UK cycling became a ‘capitalist’ mass movement. It started with the rich buying the expensive cycles and then when cycles were mass produced by ‘capitalist’ businesses, workers bought millions of them. AFAIK cycles have never been produced by the state!
