Wanna Get Some Action?

Me too. I also wanna build a strong movement to solve the climate crisis and build an equitable society. And as most of us know, this is our defining moment.

Here’s a tool, full of beautiful images, quotes, and context, to help young activists understand how we build social movements strategically and thoughtfully, and the role of action – and Non-Violent Direct Action & Civil Disobedience in particular - within them.

And they are flying off the shelves. Click below to download an electronic PDF now, and if you are interested in distributing Get Some Action for free, send an email to action@ran.org and get in the loop!

This pamphlet was a collaboration between RAN’s Action Tank and Energy Action Coalition, with help from the Ruckus Society, Indigenous Environmental Network, Movement Generation, and Energy Justice Network.

We’re standing on the shoulders of the change-agents who came before us. Learning how people-power has shaped our world helps us design our roadmaps and tune our compasses for moving forward today!

    Hey, Josh – nice booklet!

Don’t forget Rising Tide! We’re the only grassroots direct action network solely focused on climate / energy issues, and have played a lead role in a lot of the direct actions against dirty energy these past couple years, including day long blockades of coal fired power plants and a lot of the organizational work behind fossil fools day.

With local contacts in about 30 cities, we’re a great resource for folks interested in direct action against the climate crisis.

Plus we’re non-heirarchically organized, so you can plug in and start a local group based on whatever fits your local needs.
