Hurricane Gustav has hit land today and efforts are mobilizing to bring quick aid to the residents there.

Three years ago when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the government sat by while an American city drowned, radical and progressive activists mobilized the Common Ground Relief Effort to help area residents during and after the storm.

Now three years later, another Category Three hurricane is coming ashore in Louisiana and grassroots relief efforts are quickly mobilizing again.
