This week in Clean Energy

This week in clean energy, a round up of defeats, victories and forces as we move forward.

  • The nations first new oil refinery in 32 years moved a lot closer to being built. A vote in Union County, South Dakota came up 58% for, 42% against the project by Hyperion to process tar sands. link
  • NASA’s findings were ‘mischaracterized’ by political appointees, according to the inspector general’s office. link
  • United will ground planes due to rising fuel costs. If prices continue to rise, we’ll be seeing fewer flights in the future. link
  • The Conservative mouthpiece The Business & Media Institute, predicts $12-$15 gas in the next few years. link
