I had recently attended a training session in Montreal, Quebec with Mr. Gore on his "Inconvenient Truth Presentation" and he had talked briefly about this campaign and also shared some of the new upcoming videos from the media campaign that he has recently launched. I do agree with the point you raise with the inconvenient truths of the current situation in the USA and how there are other focuses to be taken into consideration but if there was more distribution in the available technologies of today that would just lead to more advances for tomorrow on this issue.

I agree with you. I sent a comment to the "We" people about their little video too. It bothered me b/c it seemed to be speaking to events that speak to baby boomers, and maybe GI generation people, but not too many people younger than that.

I've been thinking about their video a lot. The other thing that bugs me about it is that yes, they show the Civil Rights movement as a great force for social change. BUT the D-Day invasion and the Moon Landing were both massive undertakings organized, promoted and executed by the government. Which speaks directly against the idea of "We" the people making this stuff happen. Of course the government needs to take the lead on global warming, ['cause we've all seen the pitiful job that industry has done to regulate itself!] but I thought that "We"'s message was that the people, all the people, need to get on board and get out government officials to get going.

We can all change our light bulbs and use solar power, but it would sure go faster if the government got on board too. I feel like the We video, and message as a whole is a tad off the ,=mark. And I truly wish it weren't.
