The Washington House and Senate both passed climate change bills on Tuesday that were supported by the Cascade Climate Network.  The bills are now heading to the opposite chamber, where they are expected to win passage and be signed into law. -Oregon Climate Bill Stalls, May Die This Session… Hyped-up industry opposition may prove enough to scuttle a climate bill in the Oregon legislature during the short, first-of-its-kind Oregon special session.  The bill passed the House Energy and Environment Committee but may not see a floor vote before the short session ends. The more I learned the more agahst I was that myself, along with many others, didn't know how much the youth had mobalized around this movement. I am so happy that the PNW became more connected and that Pacific University is becoming involved. Lets get fired up and keep fired up!!! BE THE DIFFERENCE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD!!! --> to be a little cheesy! I was absolutley energized by the speakers and the workshops at the Conference. We discovered a new green jobs bill that needs our support, had great talks with our legislators and shut down some non-believers with talk of economic growth. The Northwest is rawking it hard.
