		<description><![CDATA[I completely agree that the US is not sitting idle, now that Washington is facing unprecedented pressure to address climate issues, and that - as usual - the response of the administration is to impose its own protectionist methods on the rest of the world. As I said on my blog this morning(http://www.carbonsmart.com/carboncopy/2007/12/bali-hoo-on-day.html), I think the US Climate Security Act now before Congress is doing just that. But with the developing world becoming less dependent on the US for trade, America may eventually become sidelined by its own isolationist approach. Protectionism only works if you are the dominant player.]]></description>

In fact, Edward I tried to ban coal because the nobles did not like the smoke.  Maybe one of the smaller companies or NGOs will figure out the combination of technologies to change things.]]></description>
