greetings...

i wanted to write in response to this "contest". it seems to me that while the "winner" will get to travel to Africa, which of course is amazing, they will be infact be "winning" the chance to go and work their butts off....

....I can think of nothing better.

i have been surfing the usuall competitive swimming and global warming sites i frequent, when i got distracted entering online contests....thats when i came across your contest.

i am excited to find that this feels like a great oportunity here.
i studied Environmental Science and Global Warming at Queen's University, as well as Renewable Energy Systems Engineering at St. Lawrence College in Canada. it has become my passion, to learn as much as i can about these issues and the ways to make a difference.
While i am excited about the massive attention to Global Warming recently, and the explosion of the Renewables industry, i have a deep feeling that i want to be active in the spreading of understanding of the problems facing the planet. As well as promoting solutions.

I feel Africa is an important place to do this....i feel that the world often fails Africa. We all know this, some try to help. those who do know it is not easy. It often takes the effort of many to make small differences. Differences which often meen survival.

this is not unlike what the entire planet faces now with regard to Global Warming. to make the necessary changes in order to make a difference, it will take the effort of many (all) if any continent is to survive.

I suppose i am writing to Richard. i dont know when your mission in Africa will begin, but i hope you will think of me as a possible ally. i would love to hear more about the program, and i hope there may be a place for me....as your contest winner of course!

bye for now
