Climate Activism has Never Been Sexier…

…Especially if you ask Salon magazine. They just named our own Billy Parish one of America’s sexiest men of 2007

We should all congratulate him and feel a bit flattered ourselves, too. What could be hotter than working to cool the Earth for all generations to come? Keeping climate activism sexy – fun, alluring, creative, rewarding – is key to building a real movement.

While there are numerous cold, hard economic statistics to make our case, we also need stories about people who care, people who are changing their thinking, changing their communities and enjoying it along the way. The facts have played their role. The time for stories to start playing their role in this movement has arrived.

Our transition to a clean energy economy is a good story. How about the story of new parents committed to not handing down the same legacy of environmental irresponsibility we’ve inherited from the last generations to the next ones?

Rock on, Billy. Way to make it hot!
