Open Invitation to Build the It’s Getting Hot in Here Community Together

Power Shift 2007 was an incredible, inspiring experience that will have ramifications throughout our lives. However, it has also given us all the added pressure to build the movement even bigger and faster. It’s Getting Hot in Here is an incredible community…but trust me on this one…we can do so much more. It’s Getting Hot in Here can be our voice, telling the world our stories, but it also can be a platform to get our stories all over the internet, picked up by traditional media, and in general build the movement in the USA and Globally. So what can you do?

We need Contributors and I know you have something to say…apply for an account today.
We need our Writers who haven’t written in a while to come get your account information and get reacquainted.
We need Reporting Teams to break stories and investigate situations, photographers to document global warming and solutions, videographers and podcasters to tell our stories, record injustice, and do interviews with inspiring activists.
We need Editors to help direct the site, assign stories, and publish content.
We need Publicists, to cross-post our work and get our work up on Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Care2, and Hugg.
We need Book Reviewers to inform us on new works and ideas.
We need a News team to read stories and send the interesting ones our way and promote them on Newsvine.
We need YOU!

I am going to Bali soon to face the global community at the 10,000 person UN climate conference and I know that I can face them with the It’s Getting Hot in Here community at my back. Together, we can take on the world.

How does one apply to be a contributor? I thought that I’d done it, but I haven’t heard anything in response…
