Summer Rayne is an entomologist and environmental scientist by training. She's worked on issues ranging from mine reclamation to sewage sludge. In 2000, she slung her hiking boots to her travel pack and embarked on a journey of cause-related modeling to push sustainabilty through fashion and the mainstream media. She travels the world working on sustainable development programs, helping highlight innovative initiatives, consults on sustainable business, and rocks the runways for eco-conscious designers and companies. Oh, man we need the next minute of footage up. That rocked me to the core.
What did he say? What is the answer to the unfounded criticism that we are well intentions maybe but elitists who policies will impose an undue burden on the poor? This is NOT true but what did Van Jones say was the best response? We all need to know this answer!
He said… We are all in this together and we will never be divided again. That we can complete the unfinished business of America by building an economy that provides wave of opportunity that will give people a green pathway out of poverty. That black or white or brown or red or yellow, we are here together and there ain’t nothing they can do to to tear us apart anymore. That we can save the polar bears and the poor kids too. For there is no such thin as disposable resources and no disposable people.
