Campus Climate Challenge Survey Results

This summer 467 students participating in the Campus Climate Challenge filled out a survey to evaluate the campaign and give us a sense of the demographics of our movement. Check out the results. NOTE: When you read the ranked results, note that the 1-10 ratings are low-to-high like in golf, with the lowest scores being the most valued. Here are some of the most interesting results:

Participants - 467

Age - 1. 19 (21.2%) 2. 21 (18.8%) 3. 20 (17.1%)

Gender - Female (64.9%) Male (34.5%)

Race - 1. White (78.9%) 2. Asian/Asian American (6.8%) 3. Other/Would Rather not say (6.6%)

Class Background - 1. Middle Class/Enough (44.8%) 2. Upper Middle Class/More than enough (41%) 3. Low Income/not enough (7.7%)

Josh is co-founder of the Energy Action Coalition, a youth alliance working to support and strengthen the youth movement for a clean, efficient, just, and renewable energy future.
