Yes. It’s true. Mock-rockers Spinal Tap are getting back together to play at the Live Earth benefit this summer. If anyone hasn’t seen This Is Spinal Tap - you are highly encouraged to do so. It seems weird to have a joke band get back together for such a serious issue - but even us tree huggin’, carbon restrainin’ types appreciate good humor….
There are some REALLY choice quotes in the Associated Press article linked below. “They’re not that environmentally conscious, but they’ve heard of global warming. Nigel thought it was just because he was wearing too much clothing — that if he just took his jacket off it would be cooler.”
Too bad it’s only for the Wembley Stadium show - can’t quite justify flying across the Atlantic to see them. But - hopefully another documentary will be made from their appearance!
