It's appalling to me that Merrill is investing in coal. I recently interviewed an SRI Consultant over at RBC Dain (http://gristmill.grist.org/story/2007/2/14/122351/289). Their company has invested and financed 26 wind farms throughout North America, U.K., France and Ireland. They have also been supporting green power generation since 2002. That is forward-thinking! Merrill, Goldman and others really have the opportunity to step up the the challenge and they are falling way short. Abby Joseph Cohen (from Goldman) even said at the sustainability conference at Earth Island Institute that they are doing far, far less than they could be.

BTW, Welcome on board, Michael!
