Picture this: a high profile national tour of 20 universities that is a combination environmental awareness campaign and rock show.
The Campus Consciousness Tour fuses these worlds with an afternoon of activities and an evening concert headlined by Guster.

You might even be able to bring Guster and the Campus Consciousness Tour to your school! The dates that are currently open are April 15-19, 2007 anywhere on the East Coast and April 22-25, 2007 anywhere in New England.

The Campus Consciousness Tour will feature afternoon events such as the Pimp My Clean Car Ride demonstration which includes a tour of the biodiesel powered tour bus, an exciting Campus Climate Challenge town hall forum with Adam Gardner of Guster and yours truly, and an awesome eco village that will highlight cool organizations and student groups.
The evening concert will be headlined by Guster plus The Format. The evening will also include the eco village, which will be set up at each concert venue.

Hi.
My name is Tristan and I currently go to California State University - Monterey Bay. I am also highly involved on campus, and serve as the Associated Students’ Environmental Sentor, as well as chair of the Environmental Committee.
First off, this is an awesome idea and I wish it weren’t so exclusive to the East Coast. I know that we have the San Francisco Green Festival over here on the West Coast, but that’s really all there is in terms of connecting the environmental community to the musical and arts communities. I commend the founders of the Campus Consciousness Tour, and I would even request the opportunity to speak more about how you got the event started. Perhaps there’s room for the creation of our own here on the West Coast. I know for a fact that we have more than enough musical and theatrical artists who would be willing to support a similar effort.
