… and the violent response that this innocent action recieved…
Side Note The climate activist in question has a law degree from one of the most prestigeous universities in Canada (and never had a professor with leather patches on his/her suit jacket).
Here is another youtube about how GM killed the electric street car.
oh man. Mike Hudema already blogged about this.
I feel like a looser for not seeing it sooner.
But its cool that its CNN that is reporting this. and I just love the nasty comments that Mr. GM dude makes about wanting to thrash Mike.
As much as I wish someone from GM was caught on camera being grossly off-message and making a fool of himself – unfortunately the man in question is not from GM. He was mis-identified in a few sources as a GM exec – but he is in fact merely a freelance auto writer named Don Fuller. And my research on him simply turned up some high-level, intellectualy-advanced, technologicaly-spirited pieces he had authored such as “Should You Trade or Sell Your Used Car?”, “Tire Rotation 101″, “Easy Leather Care” and others. Certainly FAR above the discourse any “college professor with leather patches on his elbows” would know much about….
We’ve gotten tremendous media coverage of this event – I think we’re at well over 700 print stories, Wall Street Journal, Businessweek, Bloomberg, ABC, CNN and many more.
A few Photos from the week of actions: (still working on getting more online) http://www.flickr.com/photos/rainforestactionnetwork/sets/72157594398184552/

And search news.google.com for things like “GM pledge” “GM protesters” or “Jumpstart Ford” and see some great stories.
