Mountain Justice Spring Break

MJSB
At least two Campus Climate Challenge partners, the Southern Energy Network and the Student Environmental Action Coalition, are currently organizing a Mountain Justice Spring Break program for this March. This is a very exciting opportunity for young people to see the realities of Mountaintop Removal, connect with local communities fighting this destructive practice, and get involved in community service projects. Currently proposed are two one-week long sessions with a weekend convergence in between in West Viginia, and additional one week sessions in Tennessee, Virginia, and possibly Kentucky.

You can be part of the solution, you can be part of the fight against Mountaintop Removal coal mining. If you’re interested in coming, visit the MJSB interest page and fill out the interest form. Then they will select dates that work for as many schools as possible.

Oh, and watch out for Energy Justice Summer…more details coming soon.
