OK so you’ve heard about how Canada’s Clean Air Act is lacking serious teeth. What are you going to do about it?? Right now the Act is now going to a special parliamentary committee made up of various parties that will greatly improve it. But it is also important for us to get involved in the process!
Oh Canada! The government goest through a 60-day Notice of Intent process that allows the public (that’s us!) to give comments. The DEADLINE is December 21, 2006.
You can mail these comments directly to Minister Rona Ambrose at:

Fax: (819) 953-3457 (If you don’t have time to send a letter - Don’t email!! Hard copy is important. Letter via mail is best.)
There is also a website by the Climate Action Network of Canada that has thorough background info.

Hi,
I was watching CBC news today, Jan, 18 2007 and they announced that the Conservative Government is addressing an assembled committee to review and possibly re-write the Clean Air Act. Now, im not into politics, but im certainly involved in the environment and forestry and hearing this today was the motivation i needed to take a stand. Based on your informative website, i was wondering if you had any suggestions on making any actions on this most recent announcement. Thank you for your time, Denis LeBel
